Responsible for the curatorial direction and management oversight of the Nightingale
Gallery, Eastern Oregon’s premiere non-profit exhibition space. Curate exhibitions,
coordinate an active visiting artists program, promote exhibitions to and
in conjunction with the La Grande community including the Eastern Oregon Regional
Arts Council and the La Grande Arts Commission, organize and oversee 13 student
workers, and develop and manage the gallery’s budget. Responsible for instructing
exploratory foundation courses in the visual arts including Art 101-The Foundations
of Visual Literacy (a general education lecture/studio course investigating
aesthetic trends in the visual arts), Art 390-Expanded Arts (art for educators),
Art 129-Drawing and Design Fundamentals (drawing for non-majors) and Art 120-
Design I (beginning 2D design.)
2001 Outreach Manager, The Children's Museum, Seattle, WA
Coordinated the oversight and daily management of the museum's Inside/Out
program, an arts and humanities program presented to at-risk youth living
in Seattle public housing.
This included the management of 7 program staff, developing curriculum, instructing
program activities, scheduling and chaperoning all field trips, interviewing
and hiring work-study staff, editing monthly and quarterly grant reports,
interacting with other community service providers and parents to improve
the program and assisting the Curator of Outreach Programs in budget management.

Conducted introductory figure drawing workshops for visitors to the museum's
John
Singer Sargent exhibition. Responsible for acquainting participants of all
ages with the
technical aspects of gesture and contour drawing as well as the role that
costume, pose
and setting play in informing the content of a work of art.

Responsible for coordinating all aspects related to the visual appearance
of the gallery.
This included managing the logistics for installing and de-installing exhibitions
at both the
Pioneer Square and Kirkland locales. I oversaw all exhibition design and lighting,
the
proper handling, packing and shipping of artworks (including art-glass), the
supervision of
a part-time assistant and the delivery and installation of client purchases.

Coordinated the development and implementation of all exhibition logistics.
This included
recruiting and managing interns and volunteers, researching materials and
technical
information related to installations, seeking in-kind donations, organizing
