"Shipyard GPS"
New Nav Station Installed…
You may have noticed the new Navigational Station Installation in front
of the Party Building and the Post Office (Photo Above). It’s also
possible that you have used this equipment to plan a cruise this summer.
The “Shipyard GPS” is a sculptural project that Wade started
to depict favorite boating destinations around the world.
The sculpture is still in progress, and it is possible for you to help
contribute to its creation/completion. You can help by collecting driftwood
for us. Or, for a small fee ($100), you can commission us to make a sign
for you, displaying your favorite destination’s information. To
participate, the following criteria must be followed:
1. All signs must be made with driftwood found on Lake Michigan or its
tributaries.
2. All destinations are favorite waterfront locations where you have enjoyed
boating.
