Boating Safety & Information Great Lakes Cruising Club: https://www.glcclub.com/ Whether you’re an old salt or a novice, power boater or sailor, captain or crew, there’s always more to know about cruising the Great Lakes. Sharing information is what we’re all about. We are cruisers helping cruisers--to find remote anchorages; navigate locks and waterways; hone skills via online webinars; or connect with other cruisers and build friendships. America's Boating Club: www.americasboatingclub.org An educated boater is a better boater! We offer a wide range of boating courses and seminars for all levels, including boat handling, navigation, boating rules and regulations, marine electronics, boat maintenance in the classroom, online, and on the water. Boaters University: www.boatersuniversity.com/ Boaters University offers several programs emphasizing Boating Education, Water Safety, and Environmental Awareness. Life Jacket Safety… All the Eldean kids (including little Herbie and Rog) would wear life jackets until they could prove they weren’t necessary. I needed to demonstrate swimming from the end of C-Dock to the Gas Dock and also get out of the water. Until we could pass the test, wearing a life jacket was mandatory and there were no exceptions! Fortunately for your kids, life jackets are much more comfortable to
wear than most of us remember. Check out our Ship’s
Store to get the most comfortable fitting life vest. |
