Dinghies
Dinghies are a great way to putz around
the marina, Lake Mac, and to take to the beach. Please follow these few
guidelines when keeping your dinghy at the Marina.
Please keep your Dinghy within your own
slip. If there is not room in your slip for both your boat and also your
Dinghy, then you do not have room for a dinghy and you will need to make
other arrangements. Stop in and Talk with Angela or Wade.
A few common problems with dinghies:
First, please don't tie up the dinghy off the stern of
the boat so that it hangs out the back of the slip. These dinghies impair
other boaters when docking and they may get damaged. Second,
if a dinghy is tied up between two boats make sure the Dinghy is not repeatedly
bumping your neighbors boat. And third, if your dingy
is tied up next to your boat, make sure it is not positioned underneath
an air conditioning or bilge pump's through-hull fitting so that water
is not being poured into your dinghy from the boat.
Dinghy and Inflatable Storage that is located
on the pavement adjacent to the playground is specifically reserved for
mooring customers. Other arrangements can be made to store your dinghy.
All dinghies should be labeled with slip or mooring number and customer
name.
A Dingy Ramp is located between the playground
and the pool for launching these yachts. Be careful as the ramp can be
slippery. The small beach located next to the Piper restaurant also works
well for launching your dinghy or kayak.
Don’t be a Dinghy…
If you have a dinghy in the building, please make sure it is adequately
marked with your name. Unmarked dinghies will be disposed of.
Bikes
There are plenty of bike paths and scenic
roads for great bike rides. Just go explore on your own, or ask around
and we'll point you in the right direction.
Bikes should be locked and stored inside
the parking garage, on your boat, or in a bike rack. Please do not leave
your bikes on any of the long main docks (A-Z), as there is not enough
space for traffic and dock-carts to pass by, and people to stand and mingle.
If you wish to keep your bike on your short finger dock, please make sure
this is acceptable to the other boat that shares your dock.
